Since
1966 care of the Hauge Log Church historic site has been entrusted
to the Perry Hauge Log Church Preservation Association, Inc.,
a not-for-profit corporation whose sole purpose is the ongoing
maintenance and preservation of the church building and surrounding
cemetery grounds. The Preservation Association's efforts are supported
solely through memberships and tax-deductible contributions from those with an interest in preserving the Hauge Church and it's
Norwegian heritage. Donations are always gratefully accepted and

With
Madison and Dane County, Wisconsin consistently ranked as among
the United States' most desireable places to live the area's population
has been increasing dramatically. As a result, development pressures
now threaten the rural peace and serenity that the Hauge Church
has enjoyed for over 150 years. In response to this threat the
Preservation Association established the Hauge
Preservation Fund as a means to provide funding for the purchase
of additional land surrounding the existing Hauge site to act as a buffer
from future development in the area. Please consider a contribution
to the Preservation Fund today, as time is rapidly running out to
keep this rare untouched vestige of our pioneer heritage intact.
