Parks |
|
Perry currently has two parks:
The 30-acre Hauge Historic Park was established as the Town's first park for the purpose of maintaining and enhancing the character of the 1852 Hauge Log Church historic site. It also serves to provide residents and visitors with
recreational facilities for hiking, picnics, or other
passive activities. Much of the park's open area is presently undergoing native prairie restoration. |
The Daleyville Park is located on the west side of the Daleyville settlement and is approximately one acre in size. Located on property donated by the Ranum family, it will be developed as a community-based family
park. |

Views, Vistas, and Points of Interest |
The rolling terrain of the geologic driftless area in which Perry is located results in
many panoramic views and vistas, with views of the Blue Mounds being most prominent. Many varied patterns of croplands along with existing (or remnants) of oak savannas also serve to enhance the town's visual character. These factors combine to offer several locations with exceptional scenic views and
vistas. The following is a listing of some of those areas (see map below):
-
A high point on Lee Valley Road (No. 3)
-
Second Hauge Church Cemetery - Highway A (No. 5)
