The Town of Perry currently has two parks:<\/em><\/p>\n

Hauge Historic District Park

\nMount Horeb, WI<\/h3>\n

This park is Wisconsin\u2019s first Town Historic District Park and Dane County\u2019s first Historic Overlay District.\u00a0 It surrounds the Hauge Log Church National Historic Site.\u00a0\u00a0The Historic Hauge District Park is located 30 minutes west of Madison on County Highway Z.\u00a0 The park was created to preserve the Site’s unobstructed scenic views, to protect its peace and serenity from threatened development, and to respect the souls buried in its cemetery.\u00a0 Financial support from Town residents and worldwide donors makes this park possible.<\/p>\n

Daleyville Community Park<\/h3>\n

The Daleyville Park is located on the west side\u00a0of the Daleyville settlement and is\u00a0approximately one acre in size.\u00a0 Located on\u00a0property donated to the Town in 2002 by the\u00a0Ranum family, it will be developed as a community-based family park.\u00a0 Daleyville Map<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

HERITAGE CIRCLE PAVER FUNDRAISING PROJECT<\/span><\/h3>\n

Friends of the Perry Parks are taking orders for personalized, engraved pavers<\/strong><\/em><\/span> for the\u00a0Heritage Circle Paver Fundraising Project<\/strong>, to be located in the Town of Perry Hauge Historic District Park.\u00a0\u00a0The Heritage Circle project is open to anyone.\u00a0 By purchasing a paver, you will join others who have helped\u00a0support the protection and preservation of the\u00a0Hauge Log Church Historic site.<\/p>\n

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES<\/a><\/span>
\nThe Friends of the Parks of Perry are looking for volunteers to help with projects in the Town of Perry\u2019s parks.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Friends of the Parks of Perry Township, Inc. is a non-profit organization established in 2004 to develop and maintain parks within the Town of Perry.<\/p>\n

Membership dollars are used to purchase seeds, plants, and equipment for park development and maintenance.\u00a0 Future plans include a newsletter, annual meetings, and monthly workdays in the parks.<\/p>\n

The Friends of Perry Parks invite your participation.\u00a0 Please consider joining us to meet and work with your neighbors to help preserve these beautiful areas for future generations. Various membership options are available, including a plan whereby residents can pledge eight hours of labor in the parks for a one-year membership.<\/p>\n

The Wisconsin Department of Tourism has begun promoting the Hauge Historic District Park on\u00a0<\/strong>its State of Wisconsin Tourism website, travelwisconsin.com<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0The Hauge Historic District Park is now an official Wisconsin tourist destination.<\/strong><\/p>\n
