Civil War letters of Lars and Knud Olsen Dokken

Lars and Knud Olsen Dokken (Kittleson) were brothers who emigrated from Norway with their family in 1857 to settle in Perry.  Lars and Knud joined the Fifteenth Wisconsin Volunteer Regiment in December, 1861, and February, 1862, respectively.  Throughout the campaigns in which the Dokken brothers took part they wrote regular letters to their “unforgettable parents” in Wisconsin.
